Wednesday Night Suppers Wednesday night is "Family Night" at First Lutheran Church by having a simple supper meal on Wednesdays, during the academic year. It is served from 5:00 - 5:45 pm, right before the Confirmation classes meet at 6:00 and the Children's classes start at 6:00 pm. These suppers are offered on the Wednesday evenings that Wednesday school classes and confirmation activities are held. Confirmation students and their families, FLC Women, FLC Men, and other groups help to prepare, serve and clean-up. This is a great way for families to serve their church together and get to know one another. Following the classes, starting at 7:15 pm, we will have our WOW (worship on Wednesday) which will be held in the church's main sanctuary. Join us!
First Lutheran Church members participate in an annual Chili Cook-Off. It's all about family fun; and prizes are awarded for the best chili, best bread, and best theme. Even though it's a contest, we invite all to come and eat while being our "tasters." This even is usually held the last Wednesday eveing in January. See some pictures below.
Church Picnic in the Park First Lutheran Church members participate in an annual summer potluck picnic in the park. There are activities for the young and old alike. There are games, prizes, and entertainment. Also, lots of food, fun, and fellowship! This even is usually held in August. Watch for more informaiton.
