The First Lutheran Church Women (FLCW) are a unit member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (Women of the ELCA), and are a part of the Turtle Mountain Cluster and the Western North Dakota Synodical Women's Organization.
The FLCW are organized into several different Bible study and service circles, meeting at different times (to fit into everyone's schedules) once a month. A general assembly, with varied topics, is offered most months. The FLCW come together for study, support and action. They participate in ministry within and beyond the congregation, and support the Women of the ELCA and church-wide programs.
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
As a community of women
created in the image of God,
called to discipleship in Jesus Christ,
empowered by the Holy Spirit,
We commit ourselves to
grow in faith,
affirm our gifts,
support one another in our callings,
engage in ministry and action,
promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
