Prayer Chain |

|
“Whatever you ask for in prayer, First Lutheran Church Women have organized a system by which persons in need – physical, mentally, or otherwise – are prayed for – for their health to be returned to them or to be relieved of pain or stress or heartache in their lives. This system is called the Prayer Chain. It has eight chains, consisting of 8 to 10 First Lutheran Church Women in each chain. Whenever a prayer request comes in, for someone that is ill or ready for surgery or has some stressful event in their lives or in the life of a loved one, the Prayer Chain is started. The first person on each chain is called by the Chain Coordinator with the news and information regarding that request. That person passes it on to the next one on her chain list and so on, and it goes on from there, thus starting the prayer cycle. The chain person clearly states the name of the person to be prayed for, the reason for the prayer, and asks that the request be passed on to the next in the chain. |
