2011-2012 Confrimation Class Schedule

All 7th - 9th grade students have confirmation classes that meet on Wednesday, from 5:45 - 7:00 pm.   During the school year, the 7th - 9th graders have fellowship and service opportunities during confirmation. There are also activities outside of confirmation occasionally.  The confirmation service for the 9th graders is set for the first Sunday of May, at the11:00 am service.

Before starting the fall session of confirmation classes, there is an important meeting for the students and parents held. at 6:30 pm, in the Parish Center.  We request all parents and students of grades 7-9 attend this confirmation meeting.  Information will shared about the confirmation curriculum and expectations.

Youth Room is currently not available due to issues relating to the flood.  It normally provides a safe atmosphere for youth to spend time with their peers, do homework, play games, or hang out.  This is where youth groups meet unless other arrangements are made.

Friday Night Live -- Friday Night Live is a 7th - 8th grade retreat that takes place at Camp Metigoshe. Come for a great, late night of singing, games, worship, and yummy food! Bring your Bible, a sleeping bag and some warm outdoor clothes.  We are going to have a ton of fun!  Friday Night Live is held twice a year, once in the spring, and once in the fall.  Cost is $15 per person. Go to metigosheministries.com for more information.

CAMP METIGOSHE
It's that time of year again!  Every summer there are many wonderful camp experiences available at Camp Metigoshe. 
     For those who went to camp last summer, you should have been mailed a brochure for this summer's camp opportunities.  If you have not received the Metigoshe Ministries Summer Camp brochure, you can pick one up by the church office or go to their website online at metigosheministries.com.
     First Lutheran will pay 1/3 of the cost of one camp session, per year, for members.  Please register directly with Camp Metigoshe first, then call the church to inform us of your scheduled camp.  If your camp is in June, you must let the church know by May 15th.  If your camp is in July or August, you must let the church know by June 15th.  Please know that the camp does not coordinate this information back to the individual churches, so it is up to you to let the church office know by those dates.  If you do not meet the deadlines, you will be responsible for the entire fee when going to camp.
     For those FLC member families that utilize the 1/3 off, you are expected to help at the FLC fairstand at the ND State Fair.  It is from the proceeds of the fairstand that cover the 1/3 camp fees.
